An attractive price.
A promising location.

All of that sounds good… but is the land actually safe to buy?

Before you pay for any property, take a moment to check these 8 things:

1️⃣ Check the title.
What document covers the land? Is it genuine and verifiable?

2️⃣ Confirm the owner.
Who owns the land, and do they have the right to sell it?

3️⃣ Do your own search.
Don't rely only on what the agent or developer tells you.

4️⃣ Know what you can use it for.
Make sure the land is approved for your intended purpose.

5️⃣ Visit the property.
Pictures and promises are not enough. See the land for yourself.

6️⃣ Ask for the full cost.
Don't forget documentation, development, infrastructure and other fees.

7️⃣ Look beyond today.
Check the roads, accessibility, infrastructure and development around the area.

8️⃣ Document everything.
Receipts, agreements, payments and important promises should be properly recorded.

Remember:

Cheap land is not always a good deal.
