Prophet Muhammad precedes Science on
Tahnik; Placing a "sugary substance" inside the mouth of a new-born baby 👶

This act dramatically reduces pain sensation and heart rate. An intresting scientific medical study , published in the British Medical Journal {No 6993, 10 June 1995}, proved beyond any doubt the benefit of giving a new-born child sugar, in order to reduce the feeling of any painful procedure like heel pricking for a blood sample or before circumcision.

"A dose of sugar given as a gel rubbed into the inside of the cheek is a cheap and effective way to protect premature babies against brain damage, say experts..

This can also improve outcomes for babies born premature or sick.

Dangerously low blood sugar affects about one in 10 babies born too early. Untreated, it can cause permanent harm.

🌴Researchers from New Zealand tested the gel therapy in 242 babies under their care and, based on the results, say it should now be a first-line treatment.

Their work is published in The Lancet.

👉🏼Tahnik:🌴 is well known in Islam: to soften a date to a baby and put it inside his mouth on his palate🌴

Note that dates that prophet Muhammad peace be upon him gave to babies is far more better than normal sugar. Dates has way more benefits too al hamdulillah

No one loves the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم more than Allah, then the Messenger himself, then the Sahabah.

Is there an Ayah to support the Mawlid? No.
Did the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم encourage celebration of his birthday? No.
Did any of the Sahabah celebrate his birthday or used it as a day to teach seerah & shamail? No.

If this action was such a great noble act of worship, don't you think there would be clear multiple evidences to support it?

Then what are you doing?

الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا (104)
"They are those whose efforts are in vain in this worldly life, while they think they are doing good!” (18:104)

Say NO to mawlid!
