‎YPB '26 happened about a week ago, and I still haven't quite recovered.

‎I'm not much of a note-taker, but I knew this experience was one I'd want to revisit long after it ended. Since most of the sessions were offline, I grabbed a pen and started writing.

‎Looking through my notebook again, these are some of the lines that have stayed with me. They may not be verbatim, but they capture the heart of what was shared.

‎1. "I don't know a way to be excellent/successful without being spiritual (Christ at work in me). I've not tried it before." —
‎2. "We don't give our lives to Christ; Jesus gives His life to us.—
‎3. "If the idea is not crazy enough, it's probably not from God." —
‎4. "Planning is stewardship and is a great show of faith." —
‎5. "There are leaders, and there are leaders of leaders. Being a leader of leaders starts with leading yourself." —
‎6. "No matter your current career deficiency, there's always something you can do to augment." —
‎7. "Corporate is crazy. When you get to the top, you can change things. But for now, read the room." — Babajide Duroshola
‎8. "Everytime I got promoted, I was pregnant." —

And last but not least, this one was from a Fellow like myself...

9. "You know YPB because of Pastor Poju. Others will know Pastor Poju (Christ) because of YPB —

‎The reason these quotes stayed with me isn't because they were the most profound things said. They stayed because each one either affirmed something God had already been teaching me or completely shattered a mental stronghold I didn't realize I was carrying.

‎Throughout the bootcamp, I was asked more than once to describe the experience in one word. Every single time, my answer was the same:

‎RECALIBRATING.

‎Thank you, DJ Pope and the entire YPB team, for creating a space that challenged not just our skills, but our thinking, our convictions, and our vision for the future.

‎May God preserve and multiply the legacy you're building. God bless you all.

I jokingly introduced myself at a professional bootcamp as:

"Mabel The Builder from the Redemption City... aka Headquarters Ọlọrun." 😄

Everyone laughed.

Nobody argued.

It reminded me of something beautiful.

There is a quiet understanding that God has done remarkable things in this place. For decades, people have come here seeking Him and have left with testimonies, direction, healing, and hope.

We may not be able to answer prayers ourselves, but we can help build and preserve a place where millions have encountered the God who does.

That's why we're raising 1 million bags of cement for the 3by3km auditorium and surrounding infrastructure in Redemption City.

If this vision resonates with you, we'd love for you to partner with us.

1 person. 1 bag.

I’m now a Chartered Banker. Thank you

‎Left to me, one photo and this one line would have been enough. But this post is really about my mum.

‎Yesterday, as she walked into the hall during my induction, I told myself, “Mabel, you better pay attention to these presentations because your mum will definitely discuss them later.”
‎And true to form… she did.
‎The moment I got my certificate, she reminded me about the Association of Professional Women Bankers that was mentioned during the program and told me to go and find the woman who spoke about it. I actually went looking for her. I didn’t find her. I have joined the association online o. My mum does not joke with opportunities.

‎On our way home, she casually brought up one of the speakers and the point he made about fast customer service. In my mind I just thought, “Thank God I listened well o.”

‎Today is Mothering Sunday, and I am deeply grateful for my mother. She has been fully present in my life for as long as I can remember. Always showing up. Always looking out for opportunities. Always pushing me forward.

‎My mum's rhythm is simple: achieve, celebrate, next achievement.

‎At this point, I have accepted my fate. With this kind of mother, it looks like I will be collecting certificates till I die, and honestly, I’m not complaining.

‎Yesterday I realized just how deeply she has ingrained lifelong learning in me. While I was still holding my certificate and taking pictures, my mum had already moved to the next step in her mind. Networking. Connecting. Asking questions. Making sure her daughter is positioned well.

‎That’s just who she is.

‎Thank you, Aduke. God bless you. You will not suffer, and you will see the full harvest of every prayer you have prayed over my life. Happy Mothering Sunday to you!

‎And yes… happy induction to me too.
‎I walk confidently in the direction of my dreams because the Lord is with me.

‎Grateful for the milestone, and even more excited for the journey ahead in banking, infrastructure finance, and building things that truly last.

p. s my mum bought my shoes. 😁

We, many times, think that we have to do to get.
Today, this is our father telling us to rest.
We've done enough.
Now, He wants to start from where we stopped.
He wants to do what we could never have achieved with our fasting, prayer, hard work, and all the other "factors for success".

And even for our Carol service happening on the 21st of December by 4p.m (at Amazing Grace Assembly in the Redemption City...the 1st church), He's saying,

"Don't worry, even I will be doing the singing that day. It's my birthday but I'll be the one handing out gifts.
REST, MY CHILD, I SAY REST. I SEE YOUR EFFORTS. I WILL DO WHAT NO MAN CAN DO. I WILL DO IT NOT BECAUSE OF YOUR EFFORTS. I WILL DO IT BECAUSE I LOVE YOU

WELCOME TO "

[17] The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
