Today in my office, I signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding with the management of Lion Business Park Limited to develop a world-class industrial and commercial hub within the Enugu Industrial Park Free Trade Zone.

This investment deal is a significant step towards our commitment to grow the economy of Enugu State. It is a demonstration of the promise we made and are fulfilling—to make Enugu the number one destination for business and investment in Nigeria.

We are guaranteeing your business by providing the infrastructure and enabling environment required for ease of doing business. The Lion Business Park already has the free trade and dry port licences, and we are increasing our stake in this going concern to ensure it is fully functional.

This strategic project will catalyse trade, create jobs for our young people, attract foreign direct investments, and promote innovation and human capital development. It is located less than 25 minutes from the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, under two hours to Asaba, and just three hours from Onne Sea Port. You could not ask for a better location.

I urge our people in the diaspora, the business community and global investors to take advantage of this opportunity and turn their capital into Enugu for a high return on investment.
