You Bought the Land, But Does the Government Know It’s Yours?

DON'T FALL FOR THIS MENTALITY WHEN YOU HEAR "REAL ESTATE"

Part of my job as a Real estate consultant is to educate prospective clients when I'm m out on the field marketing the available schemes I have.

Many times I am bewildered by the responses or objections I get while on the field and I've decided to put this piece to educate you so you can be wary of them so as to counter such.

There are many of them but I've these 3 to discuss with you today. So kindly read to the end of this article, understand, comment what you like best and ask questions for further clarifications.

1. "it's too far!, I can't see myself getting a land there". My response to this is, "it's too far from where?" I continue by adding that, "The banana island, VGC, Ikoyi, Victoria island, etc where once far but people who keyed in then are now making money in their sleep today".

2. "Your prices are too exorbitant, I better get one in my village". My response here is, "That's good sir(or ma), but I think what you should be considering is your return on investment in the next 2 to 5 years. Does the property located in your village have notable landmarks that can skyrocket your investment in a short time?

3. "I don't have money oga, in fact real estate is for the rich alone". And I respond with, "really!" Since he'll answer in the affirmative, I will ask him to explain why he thinks so so as to uncover his thoughts to me. From there ask l, "can i educate you about the various strategies one can own property even if you are a low income earner or even if you don't have any savings anywhere?" If yes, I educate him/her. If No, I find time to schedule another meeting.
