Water / Moisture – In reality, electronics and robotics are highly sensitive to water, which can short-circuit circuits and cause irreversible damage. In fiction, splashing water on a killer robot often disables it.
Electromagnetic Pulses (EMP) – This isn’t a physical substance but a burst of electromagnetic energy. EMP weapons can fry or disable electronic circuits instantly. In sci-fi, EMP grenades are the “kryptonite” of robots and AI systems.
Corrosive Acids – Strong acids or corrosive chemicals can physically destroy robot components or sensors, which shows up in a lot of sci-fi scenes.
Nanite-disrupting agents – In some futuristic stories, substances specifically designed to disable AI nanobots or neural networks are used.
