CLIENT – How much will it cost to do this job?
CONTRACTOR - 1.5million
CLIENT – That’s too expensive for this job!
CONTRACTOR – How much do you think it should cost?

CONTRACTOR – I can’t do the job for so little.
CLIENT – People in your line of work wants to make a huge profit!
CONTRACTOR – I’m sorry you feel this way. Why don’t you do the job?
CLIENT – But, but, I don’t know how to do any of that.
CONTRACTOR – For 300k, I can teach you everything you need to know to do the job. You can then use 800k to do the job, and you’re still saving 400k . Also, you will obtain all the knowledge and the experience for the next time you need to do this job.
CLIENT – Deal!
CONTRACTOR – Great! To start, you need to buy tools. You will need a chipping hammer, a nail gun, a laser, a drill, a mixer machine, Grinder, PPE, and some other things.
CLIENT – But, I don’t have any of those tools and I can’t buy all that for just one job!
CONTRACTOR – Ok. I can rent you my tools for another 150k. You’re still saving 250k.
CLIENT – That’s cutting my savings, but I will rent your tools.
CONTRACTOR – Perfect! I’ll be back Saturday and we can start.
CLIENT – Wait! I can’t Saturday. I only have time today.
CONTRACTOR – I’m sorry, I only teach others on Saturdays. I have to prioritize my time and my tools needs to be in other jobs I have during the week.
CLIENT – Ok then. I will sacrifice my family’s plans on Saturday.
CONTRACTOR – Right, me too! Oh, I forgot. If you’re going to do the job yourself, you need to buy the materials. There’s a high demand nowadays, so your best bet is to get a truck and be at the hardware store by 6am before other contractors get there.
CLIENT – AT SIX IN THE MORNING? On Saturday? That’s too early for me. I don’t even have a truck!
CONTRACTOR – I guess you’ll have to rent one. By the way, do you have some helpers to help you load the truck?
CLIENT – You know what? I’ve been thinking. Probably it's better for you to do the job. It’s better to pay you to do the job right and not having to go through all that hassle.
CONTRACTOR – Good thinking. Sign here and let me get to work.

This is the truth.

People are not just paying for a job, they are paying for knowledge, experience, tools, time, family sacrifices, and other things you bring to the table. They pay for their Convenience.

WHY BUILDING AND SELLING IS BETTER THAN BUILDING AND RENTING

My guy who lives abroad invested over 100 million naira building a rental property in Anambra.

After collecting the first year rent, he did a little hood maths and realised it would take him over 20 years to realise his capital and not to talk about profits.

The funny thing is that about 30 percent of that money will go into maintenance and 20 go to court case because some tenants will surely drag you to court or you drag them to court.

So you end up losing 50 percent of your ROI in miscellaneous.

In the other hand, one of my bosses built 6 units 3 bedroom terrace apartment in Abuja. It cost him 200 million.

He sold each units 65 million each unit. So the 6 units gave him N390,000,000.

He made a profit of 190,000,000 within a year after selling the 6 units.

If I can invest and make my Profit within a year why wait for 20 years to make same profit?

Unfortunately the building will be outdated and start losing value after lasting for many years.

Case study is 4 storey buildings built in Onitsha 20 years ago by Igbo billionaires. Can you live in such buildings today? How much is their rent today?

If you build a tenant house, it is good. But you're storing money you might not be alive or healthy to enjoy. You become rich at old age when you're struggling with diabetes or stroke.

It only pays you at old age or your children enjoys it. This is not business. It is investment.

That doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Business is cashflow and cashflow is King.

Again, business is cashflow and cashflow is king.

I would rather build and sell and make money immediately with profit than wait for 20 years before making only my capital.

Remember, Cashflow is King. What did you learn from this?

Don't leave a job to start a business, but start a business to leave a job. One of the business trainer was quoted as saying. "People do not have patience to build a business for 5 years but they have patience to go to work for 35 years at the expense of inheriting a clock."

It is not a mistake to be born poor, but its a mistake to die poor. So start a business to leave a job. JOB simply means Just Over Broke.
SALARY is a word derived from a Greek word "SALARIAM" which means salt allowance, it is a money enough to buy salt.
Do something about your life today. Start thinking about how to make money everyday.

Think Residual Income" Start with a small targeted amount and grow as you go. Start with something that will give u even if its a day. Its better than going to bed without making even a kobo".

SALARY" alone can not solve your money problems. You need Secondary Source of income to balance.
SALARY" is the MEDICINE for managing POVERTY, it doesn't CURE it. Only your BUSINESS" or INVESTMENT" Cures Poverty.
