*THE SOLUTION*

So how do you do it?
How do you become self-reliant, how do you cut the cord of dependency, and take complete control of your life and your destiny?
What I am going to do now is explain how to become self-reliant in ten not so easy steps!

1. You Must Become a Nonconformist

You must learn to think for yourself…you must avoid following popular opinion and resist conforming to the weak and highly vulnerable will of the majority / group pressure.
Trust you own instincts, ideas, principles and common sense.

2. You Must Stand for and Defend Principles

It pains me to think how easily people capitulate their dreams to badges, titles, and manipulative institutions.
The truth is…nothing on this earth can bring you freedom but you, and nothing can bring peace but the triumph of principles.

3. You Must Insist on Being Authentic

There is a time in everyone’s life when they arrive at the conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is su***de; that you must take yourself for better or for worse. Insist on being yourself and work to cultivate your gifts.
Authenticity over everything must be the code which you live by.

4. You Must Surrender Unnecessary Dependence

Only the weak, insecure and confidence deprived strive for security and dependency on others.
Therefore, you must identify where you are currently dependent by taking inventory of you life. Look for any unnecessary and unhealthy situations and resolve to move to a state of self-reliance. Do it with immediate effect.

5. You Must Seek Approval Only From Yourself

“Ne te quaesiveris extra”…is Latin for, Do not seek for things outside yourself.
Learning to rely on yourself means that you need to accept and appreciate everything about who you are. You need to look inward for affirmation of your choices and stop relying on others’ opinions about who you are and what you do.
When you have no faith in yourself, it drains you of power and forces you to rely on others for strength and assistance.
But, when you learn to seek approval only from yourself and to build up your own self-esteem, you’ll realize that you don’t need others to accept you.
You approve of you!

6. You Must Confront and Overcome Challenges, Obstacles and Adversity

You must have the understanding that the world is filled with challenge and adversity not to stop you, not to make you give up on your dreams, not to suck your thumb and call for your mother for help…they exist to develop internal strength, to fortify your character, to encourage gritty perseverance and to build self-reliance.

7. You Must Work and Produce Results

Honourable work is the most foundational source of happiness, self-worth and prosperity. Your greatest asset and primary sense of security freedom extends from your ability to produce results and that’s what self-reliance is all about.
You need to be a contributing member of society…you need to pay for your own mortgage, cell phone, fuel , insurance and loans…and you need to put food on your own table.

8. You Must Become a Student for Life.

Those who have the lowest levels of skill and the weakest capacity for adapting to change will find themselves noncompetitive, unemployed and highly dependent upon others.
Propelled by the competitive imperatives of speed, global responsiveness, disruptive technologies and the need to innovate constantly or perish, learning is the essential hedge against extinction and total dependence upon others.

9. You Must Be Free From Debt

Money is a faithful, loyal servant and we are its master. It allows us to enjoy freedom, expands our options and allows us to make better greater choices.
However when we get into debt the roles change, and we find ourselves in the position of slave and losing our freedom.
The person who owes money is a servant to the person or to the corporation who lends the money. Never are you less free than when you are in debt.

10. You Must Become Your Own Hero

In the end, becoming self-reliant is all about choosing yourself, rescuing yourself and becoming your own hero.
To Be Your Own Hero means being emotionally committed to a cause, problem or project which in turn enables you to go places others are afraid to go, to try things others are afraid to try…and to be the kind of courageous person others are afraid to be.

The world needs people who care about the work they do, the people they serve, the results they produce, and the impact they are making.

The world needs strong, courageous, independent thinking people who want to use their creative ideas and unique talents to make a lasting difference.

The world needs leaders who can lead, leaders who set inspiring examples, leaders who demonstrate trust, and leaders who make things happen.

Leadership is not a title or position in the 21st century.

The world needs people with guts…people with passion and people who are willing to be shunned and rejected in the pursuit of their goals and dreams.

Most importantly…the world needs you…all of you…the brave you, the risk-taking you, the big thinking, highly capable and self-reliant you.

John F. Kennedy uttered these famous words on January 20, 1961…

“Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country.”

What you and I can do for our country…and what all of humanity can do for each other is to embrace the awesome power of self-reliance.

There is nothing like hidden charges as used by prospects. It is called statutory fees and these fees are customary when land us purchased.

*Deed of Assignment Fee* For transfer ownership from estate developer to subscribers

*Survey Fee* This is use for mapping out the portion of land paid for. This goes to the Govt and it's fixed for different locations. Ibeju Lekki is 500k while Eti Osa is N1m per per 1000sqm but most companies collect 250-350k for Ibeju Lekki & 800k for Eti Osa.

*Development fees* This fee is meant for development of infrastructure within the estate.

Statutory fees are not hidden as they are clearly stated in the forms and FAQ/Terms & Conditions of your client interested property.

When you buy land directly from Omonile/indigenous land owners, you pay for survey, engage the service of a lawyer to draft an agreement, you pay omonile fees (which is unpredictable, owo foundation, owo decking, owo roofing, owo fencing and even bore hole and Youth will still come over to collect money, which can range from 200k to N3m total package.

Also before you can get electricity you have to pay money to the CDA to connect light into your house, you will do your drainage and also buy an SUV to ply the road to your house because there is no good street roads.

And sometimes if you do not develop your land under six months Omonile can sell your land to someone else and relocate you to the next available swamp.
