Can we please talk about land allocation in the real estate industry?

Why are people buying land and then waiting 2, 3, 5 years or even longer before they can actually access what they paid for?

Some people bought lands as far back as 2018, 2019, 2020, and till today, they still cannot point to or properly access the exact property they paid their hard-earned money for. How is this okay?

If a piece of land is being put up for sale, shouldn’t the necessary checks and processes be carried out first to ensure that the land is genuinely okay for purchase, properly documented, accessible and ready for the buyer to take possession of what they have paid for?

I understand that real estate comes with processes and that some developments take time. But customers also deserve clarity, value and peace of mind.

Why sell today and leave the buyer wondering for years?

Why not prepare properly before selling, and where possible, allocate almost immediately after purchase?

People are not just buying “land.” They are investing their savings, their plans and their future.

Let’s do better for the people who trust us with their money.

Can we normalize instant allocation where possible? 💙💛

And honestly, this is a conversation our industry needs to have.
