EAT THE FROG 🐸 NOW!
The best time to eat the frog is now. Push the frog behind you in 2024. What will be left on the table for 2025 will be chicken 🍗 (easy to accomplish tasks).
When I was a child my grandmother would start the day for us with a bitter Agbo (herb 🌿 extract) and followed it up with anything pleasant to taste to mask it (in her words, to repair the mouth 👄). As we pushed the "necessary" bitter taste behind us early in the day, we had the rest of the day for palatable things.

Don't push a necessary move to 2025. What is that your next important move?
The real estate investment 🐸 is making the initial deposit. Eat it now! Subsequent payments become 🍗.

A home inspection is a crucial step in the homebuying process that can save you a lot of money in the long run. These are what you do on home inspection;

You will examine the property's major systems, including the roof, plumbing, electrical, heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

MONEY MISMATCH
Money mismatch implies too much money chasing too few investment opportunities. This is common in businesses that have attained maturity. At what stage is maturity? Let's run through the business life cycle.

The business life cycle typically consists of five stages:
1. Start-up (Introduction): This is the initial stage where a business idea is conceived and the company is founded. It's characterized by high uncertainty, intense planning and limited resources.

2. Growth: In this stage, the business starts to gain traction and revenue increases. The company expands its operations, hires more employees and develops its products or services.

3. Maturity: At this point, the business has established itself in the market, and growth slows down. The company focuses on maintaining its market share, optimizing operations, and maximizing profits.

4. Decline: In this stage, the business faces declining sales, profits and market share. This can be due to various factors such as increased competition, changing market trends or internal inefficiencies.

5. Renewal/Rebirth: This final stage involves revitalizing the business through innovation, restructuring or repositioning. Companies may explore new markets, products, or business models to revive growth.

It's important to note that not all businesses go through all these stages and some may experience them in a different order or with varying intensity.

Money mismatch is part of internal inefficiencies mentioned under the decline stage. Signs of money mismatch are;
- Overstocking leading to product expiration or obsolescence and increase in handling cost.
- Wastage; indicated by product scrap being higher than normal.
- Poor negotiation and not getting best deals due to cash availability.
- Paying cash for all purchases. Not leveraging the facilities available with suppliers.
- Higher than normal expenses records.

Money mismatch speaks to "too few investment opportunities". How come? This happens when the business is not aware of investment opportunities around, lacks the knowhow in available opportunities or capacity issues.
May I share with you a cap (investment) that fits all money mismatch challenges. That's REAL ESTATE. This is so because real estate investment doesn't distract businesses from their core competences and it rewards handsomely.

WHAT AMERICA IS NOT TELLING THE DEVELOPING WORLDS.

Before we go into that, hear this.
I was discussing with a friend who is a researcher in the medical field. I told him why my first choice of career after my first degree was research. And the reason was that I wanted to be an authority in my field. I was bombarded with a lot of “conspiracy theories” in my undergraduate years. I always wondered if our own Professors who were supposed to know were not patriotic. I believed that as a Prof. I will be able to know the truth myself. Then, being patriotic or not will be a choice. Having it in mind that a likely force against patriotism is the quest for “global recognition”. You hear, a world renowned…., internationally recognized….. and so on. In a word, seeking validation.

Why this background is the response my friend (a researcher) gave me. He said “As a researcher, the templates you will be using are from them.” (them = developed world). What he implied was that a template which has been laced with a conclusion will lead to nowhere but where it has been designed to end.

My questions to our are;
Which template are you using?
Are you patriotic?
Are homegrown solutions impossible?

Back to the business of the day.
I often hear economics analysts comparing our debt profile with that of the US. Coming to the conclusion that we are still good. How fair is that? What I have heard that sound like warning are; what are we borrowing for (production or consumption)? And that the US debt is denominated in its own currency while ours is not. Those make a lot of difference. If at all the US GDP can't support its debt, the US has a way of spreading its debt burden over the whole world. How? By printing Dollars.

I recently heard from one of our tax experts on TV saying printing money without increasing the output in the economy. “It is a way of collecting taxes without legislation." It is so because as the government spends the printed money, the money will be demanding products and services from the market. Who pays such tax? It is everybody, because the act attacks the value of the money. If the US prints money, who pays such a tax? The payment is not limited to the US residents. It extends to all countries that the US has economic relationships with. This is because the inflation that will follow the printing will be exported across the globe. If our country prints money, the burden is limited to its residents. In fact, it is “double wahala for deadi body” because the inflation that follows will force us to export jobs.

It seems to me that while the US has its eyes on something else, it is directing our attention to the debt to GDP ratio.
Do you know where the US eyes are on?
Is focusing on the debt to GDP ratio as a reason for borrowing more not misleading?
Am I missing something?
