ADAMAWA HOUSING DISCUSSION 🏘️
Last week we discussed about scarcity of houses an increase of rent:
Since house rent keeps increasing and available houses are becoming scarce in Yola/Jimeta and other parts of Adamawa, maybe it is time for us to start discussing long-term solutions instead of only complaining every year.
One idea that can help many families is the “PAY TO OWN APARTMENT SCHEME.”
This system allows people to move into a house and gradually pay small monthly installments until they become the owner, instead of struggling with huge rent payments every year.
We are calling on:
- The Adamawa State Governments
- Real estate developers
- Wealthy individuals in the state
- Cooperative societies
- Investors and organizations
to consider introducing affordable Pay-to-Own Housing Programs for low and middle-income earners.
Imagine workers, business owners, young families, and widows having the opportunity to own a decent home without paying everything at once. This could reduce homelessness, reduce yearly rent pressure, and help develop our state faster.
Do you think this is a good solution for Adamawa State?
How can such a program work successfully here?
Would you support it if introduced?
