At 08 City Gardens Estate, Port Harcourt, we are improving the way we do our foundations to make construction faster and less stressful, especially with the heavy rains we experience here.

Normally, with a strip foundation, we dig deep trenches round the entire building and start laying blocks from inside those trenches. The foundation runs deep everywhere. It is strong, but it takes time. And once rain falls in Port Harcourt, those long trenches fill up with water, collapse at the edges, and slow everything down.

Now, we are using a smarter and faster method.Instead of digging deep all around, we only dig deep where the main columns will stand. These are the points that carry the real weight of the building.

After casting those strong column bases, we connect them together with reinforced concrete beams at ground level. Then the blocks sit on those beams, not inside deep trenches.

In simple terms:
• We dig deep only where it truly matters.
• We connect those strong points with concrete beams.
• The building’s weight is carried through the columns and beams instead of long deep block trenches.

Why this helps us:

Then with my line laser, we transfer that same level across all extension columns before plinth beam works.If the level is wrong, everything goes wrong.Precision first. Building smart. 🏗️
