Throwback Thursday

Life is full of experience. Everybody has a story to tell in the course of his or her journey. In fact, success without challenging stories both bitter, sweet and life-threatening stories is not yet complete.

I can recall, working then as a marketing executive with my Channel Manager in an award company in Ikeja. We were heading to Ogun state to the then governor’s office, Gbenga Daniel to deliver the grand father’s clock ordered by the government. We were intercepted by the officers of FRSC just for an offence of not attaching the danger sign on our car.

My manager was angry for the officers for not listening to our pleas. It was so hot that I have to use my simple initiative to calm everybody down and striked a compromise between the two parties and the matter was resolved amicably. Today, I discovered that conflict resolution is part of me and the creative ideas in me regarding to this have been overwhelming. It has made me to achieve much with little.

It has given me a lot of lesson in carrying people along in the workplace, meeting and society and especially in the areas I am heading as the leader. This is one of the gifts one may have and will not know until a situation presents itself to use it.

I challenge you today, to discover some hidden potentials in you and put them into action. This will make you live a fulfilled life.
