The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People is a book by Stephen R. Covey that was first published in 1989. The book is a guide to personal effectiveness, and it outlines seven habits that can help people achieve their goals and live a more fulfilling life.

The seven habits are:

1. Be Proactive
This means taking responsibility for your own life and not letting circumstances control you. Proactive people are not victims, and they focus on the things they can control, rather than the things they can't.

2. Begin with the End in Mind
This means having a clear vision for your life, and then working backwards to achieve it. People who begin with the end in mind are able to make decisions that are in line with their goals, and they are less likely to get sidetracked.

3. Put First Things First.
This implies that prioritizing your tasks and focusing on the most important things first. People who put first things first are able to manage their time effectively and avoid procrastination.

4. Think Win-Win
Seeking solutions that are mutually beneficial to all parties involved. People who think win-win are able to build strong relationships and achieve successful outcomes.

5. Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood.
This means listening to others with empathy and trying to understand their point of view. People who seek first to understand are able to build rapport and resolve conflicts effectively.

6. Synergize
Working together to create something that is greater than the sum of its parts. People who synergize are able to leverage the strengths of others and achieve great things.

7. Sharpen the Saw
This indicates that taking care of yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. People who sharpen the saw are able to maintain their energy and productivity, and they are better able to cope with stress.

These are just a few of the many valuable lessons that can be learned from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. By following these habits,

Animal Farm: A Fairy Story by George Orwell is a satirical allegory of the Russian Revolution and the rise of Stalinism. The novel tells the story of a group of farm animals who overthrow their human master and establish an animal-run society. However, the society soon becomes corrupted by power, and the pigs, who are the most intelligent animals on the farm, become the new ruling class.

The novel is divided into three parts:

• Part One: The animals overthrow their human master, Mr. Jones, and establish Animal Farm. They adopt a set of principles called Animalism, which include the slogans "All animals are equal" and "No animal shall be master over another animal."

• Part Two: The pigs, led by two boars named Napoleon and Snowball, begin to manipulate the other animals and change the rules of Animalism. They also start to live in luxury and privilege, while the other animals continue to work hard.

• Part Three: Napoleon drives Snowball off the farm and establishes himself as the undisputed ruler. He creates a secret police force, rewrites the history of Animal Farm, and forces the other animals to work even harder. Animal Farm eventually becomes indistinguishable from the human farm it once replaced.

The novel is a powerful critique of totalitarianism and the dangers of absolute power. It is also a cautionary tale about the importance of equality and justice.

Key takeaways:

• Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

• It is important to be vigilant in defending democracy and freedom.

• We should never take our rights for granted.

• We must be careful not to let our fears and prejudices control us.

• It is important to fight for a more just and equitable continues to be relevant today. It is a must-read for anyone interested in Rotractor leadership, politics, history, or philosophy

IS PETER OBI A ROBOT?

At Harvard yesterday, and at Oxford today, in two different ends of the world, speaking to gatherings of best brains in the world and putting Nigeria in a positive light on the international stage, as they listen with rapt attention...

Poem for a new Nigeria...

Peter obi 2023... New Nigeria 2023...
"Arise O compatriots"
Compatriots that have been denied of their rights to rise,
"Nigeria's call obey"
We obey to the tyrannical rule forced upon us with our unheard voices,
"To serve our father's land"
Oh! Our father's land is being served with red wine and the best meat,
"With love and strength and faith"
The strength and faith that's now in the past,

"The labours of our heroes past"
Dear Heroes past, you've played your part
"Shall never be in vain"
So it'd never be in vain, you fought for, here, we now dwell in vanity,
"To serve with heart and might"
Those hearts are now very heavy, how can we serve with it?
"One nation bound in freedom"
Oh! I wish that was true, but, we are bound in hatred and daily hoodlum,
"Peace and unity"
Peace and unity? No, it's pieces and diversity
Pieces of human remains and diversity between the "Big oga" and less privileges.
Nigeria my hope
Nsukka my home
I am obident in movement
PETER OBI for President .

In about 10months time, UGWUANYI’s remarkable tenure would be over, Having built industries, companies and institutions that got almost all Nsukka youths gainfully employed, we hope he would put the final touches on the rural roads of Nsukka. Nsukka might have to wait for 36years before this opportunity gets to Us again considering the one party system. Or else we are ready to wake up and end Godfatherism and political handpicking.

Those closer to the Governor should talk to him.
Time is ticking.
If we don’t talk, God won’t be happy with Us. This is our chance, don’t allow the little peanuts you are getting from this failed administration get you blinded. Say the truth to his hearing and let him utilise the remaining time left.

If this is not done? Ugwuanyi would be the worst thing that ever happened to Enugu state and not Just Nsukka. Enugu Ezike is Forgotten, Edem Ani is forgotten, Leja is a no go area, even Orba his own town is nothing to write home about, this is to name only but a very few.

Take it or leave it. The truth must be told. If everyone is afraid to speak, then I would have to take the MIC and do the job myself.
