There was a debate on one of the radio stations I was listening to one sunny afternoon the presenter asked a question that got my attention he said and I quote "between this 3 things which one should you do first in your 30s ? Buy a plot of land, get married or buy a car " tons of calls where pouring in from young people about 40% opted for land first, 35% for marriage while the remaining 25% went for cars , Lol I don't know what's going through your mind right now on what your answer would be if you were asked the same question.. ok before I give you my own answer and also convince you on why you should follow suit let me first of all start by telling a short story by pastor Paul adefarasin of the house on the rock church Lagos state Nigeria.
He said and I quote " my father bought a land in the 50s for about 2000 pounds in Victoria island Lagos the revenue gotten from the house he built for free because j kappa built the house for him and collected the rent for 10 years as payment for the house after j kappa handed over the house to him the revenue gotten from that house sent me and my brother to the finest schools in the world and later my siblings and I decided to liquidate the property (sell) after his death my share that got to me was over a million dollars for a property my dad bought for 2000 pounds in the 50s that is transfer of generational wealth my brethren " what a legacy!!! 😄 I believe you already know my answer to the above question but incase you don't know it, my answer is buy a land first Reasons being that 1. the other 2 are liabilities they take money out of your pocket but land (real Estate) puts money in your pocket and in the pockets of your generations unborn 2. Land increases in value astronomically you can buy land for 2 million today and in 2 years time that same land is worth 25 million in other words the other 2 becomes so easy and extravagant 😄😄 if you want them to
3. If you want to enjoy your old age think of long term investments
do what will make your great great great grand kids kiss your picture every day and say my great great great grand dad was a great man 😘 and that is what land ( real estate) offers.
And finally it is only the wise that appreciate investments the foolish on the other hand appreciates liabilities .
