URGENT CALL TO ACTION: Save Oviorie Secondary School
I just visited Oviorie Secondary School in the Ovu community, a government school right here in the Ethiope East Area. What I saw broke my heart, and I cannot keep quiet.
Oviorie/Ovu is a boundary community between Ethiope East LGA and Okpe LGA — the same LGA where our Governor comes from. We have councilors, SSAs, SAs, and even the Local Government Chairman residing here. Yet, our children are learning in conditions no human being should accept.
Right now, students sit on the bare floor to write and to learn.
Teachers walk into classrooms to teach, and the children have no seats. No desks. Just the floor.
Let me be clear:
There is no way these politicians would allow their own children to school in this kind of environment. There is no way they would sit and watch their children learn on the floor. So why should our children?
Education is the foundation of every society. If we neglect it here, we are killing the future of this community with our own hands.
I am calling on:
1. The Federal Government
2. The Delta State Government
3. Ethiope East Local Government
4. All political appointees from this area
Come to Oviorie Secondary School. See for yourselves. Provide desks and seats for these students immediately. This is not a request for luxury. This is a basic right.
Below is the video evidence attached. Let the whole world see what is happening in a community that has people in government living right inside it.
