Ready for the second round of the UKS championship. First full weekend in DD2 so let’s give it a full push 🚀.

Crazy weekend 🤯

After we struggled enormously on Friday and Saturday with the high grip due to my weight and height, we decided on Saturday afternoon to switch classes. We made this decision cause we knew this problem would occur on every track unless it would be cold or raining.

With no experience in this class and only a 5-minute warm-up, we made the best out of it. We had to start the heats from the very back because we made the decision quite late and couldn’t get a kart and engine within an hour.

Warm-up: P5
Heat 1: P31 -> P13
Heat 2: P31 -> P20
Final: P16 -> P6 (3th fastest lap)

Unfortunately, a crash in Heat 2 and a rediculous 3-second penalty in the final meant we couldn’t show our optimal result. But we’re very happy that we were still able to immediately show that we are one of the fastest in this class.

Big thanks to .team for trying everything we could to make the kart work.
And to for the engine in thesenior class but unfortunately we couldn’t show how much progress we made this winter.

All good things come to an end…

After two difficult days of testing in Genk for the UKS championship, we have decided not to continue in the senior category.

Due to my height and weight, it is unfortunately no longer possible for us to fight at the front. No matter what we try with the kart, nothing works. We either go on two wheels or bounce through the corners. Pace is good as long as it’s wet or when the track has low grip, but we have to be realistic and know that this won’t be the case very often this season.

At the end of the day, we decided to continue the season in the DD2 class.

No qualifying cause we made the decision only half an our before it started. We don’t have any experience in this class yet but we have to make the best out of it. Tomorrow we only have a 5 minute warm-up session to get used to the class before starting the heat from the last position.

Let’s learn fast and make up some ground 🚀

Champions Winter Trophy ❄️🏆

First one of the year was a cold one 🥶
One of the fastest in the wet but missed just a tenth or so to be able to fight for the podium in dry conditions. A mistake in qualifying and a crash at the start of heat 1 made it a challenging one.

Saturday:
Qualy: P6 in group
Heat 1: P9 -> P6
Heat 2: P9 -> P7

Sunday:

Superheat: P7 -> P7
Final: P12 -> P7

Not to bad to finish P7 out of 52 of the best drivers from Europe but we aim for more..

Now time to prepare for the UKS in three weeks time at Genk 🇧🇪🏆

2025 in the books ✍️

Very rough start of the season with crashes, engine issues and mistakes. But by taking 3 poles in the final 4 races we fought our way back to thirth in the championship for a thirth time in a row.

Some exiting stuff comming in 2026, can’t wait to get back in the seat! 🚀

Big thanks to .team for providing me with the great equipment all season. And for managing to build some of the best engines in such short notice. 💪🏻

POLE AND PODIUM TO FINISH THE SEASON 🚀

Qualy: P1 (+0.188)
Pre-final: P1 -> P3
Final: P3 -> P3

We started great with taking P1 om qualifying after a dominant day in the wet. In the pre-final we fell back to P6 because of a mistake but we could regain some ground. A bit dissapointed that we couldn’t take the win in the final after leading for some laps and making some insane overtakes.

But overall very happy that we could show everyone that we can be on top in all types of conditions.

And by our calculations we end the season with a P3 in the championship for the thirth time in a row, something that seemed impossible after the first round of the season.

Big thanks to .team for the hard work al season and having the setup on point this weekend. Also thanks to for the great improvement over the last few months and the rocket this race. ❤️🚀

So close 💔

So close to winning everything this weekend after dominating on sunday. Got Pole in the qualy won the pre-final by over 6 seconds and led the final for half the race. Unfortunately in the final the track dried out faster than we expected and a few people who gambled for slicks got past.

Qualy: P1 (+0.209)
Pre-final: P1 (+6.079)
Final: P6

But overall very happy that the team and I could show we can be be at the top end of the field. Our engines get better every weekend and we got the setup perfect on sunday.

Dutch Champs R5 🏆🇳🇱

Qualy: P11
Pre-final: P7 (+5 sec P11)
Final: P4

Pace was good all weekend just missing a tenth on the top runners made us just lose out on the podium. Made a little mistake in qualifying wich cost me a place in the top 5. And apparently you can a penalty for overtaking someone who is off track under yellow.
