Kotre Pole plant is located in Dulegauda-2, Kotre of Tanahun District along Prithvi Highway. It was jointly established by Government of Nepal & Finland Government in 2042 B.S. to implement Pokhara Electrification Project. After termination of this project this plant was handed over to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). The plant was then run solely by NEA, Distribution & Consumer Services business group upto Fiscal Year 2061/62. During this tenure, the plant was in near to closing condition and could produce very few poles satisfying the demand of just Pokhara distribution centre and its periphery. It was then handed over to NEA, Engineernig services business group in FY 2061/62. Since the handing over, it gradually sarted to produce much more poles, even supplying poles commercially. At present, it is running with separate budget centre to implement pole production & distribution activities. Now this plant is in upgrading process. After upgradation, it will produce daily 60 poles of 8m, 9m, 10.4m & 11m. Out of 60 poles, it is planned to produce 32 nos. of 8m pole, 16 nos. of 9m pole, 4 nos. of 10.4m pole and 8 nos. of 11m pole on daily basis.
