What I love about real estate in this town is that every day is different and brings new opportunities to connect with people.

This was my day yesterday, and by the end of it my cup was overflowing! After coffee (always), Tuesday mornings begin with a 7am catch up with . These powerful business women never fail to light me up! It’s no wonder Tuesdays always feel like the most inspiring and motivating day.

Then I worked on some upcoming content, finished off vendor reports and call backs, did an appraisal at a cutie revamped 50s home in Leamington, talked a buyer through a tricky contract in the car before taking someone through the sun-soaked 2/45 St Kilda.

A walk by the lake with the family rounded off another beautiful day here in Cambridge.

I always feel very privileged to do this work. Some days you can plan to a tee and everything is calm, others you have to adapt to on the fly and weather storms. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

For over five years, Cambridge Real Estate has proudly run the annual pyjama drive for Kids in Need Waikato.

Each year, this initiative is about more than donations. It is about dignity, comfort, and the quiet reassurance that a child is cared for in a moment that can feel uncertain and overwhelming.

For a child entering foster care, the experience can be disorienting. New surroundings, unfamiliar faces, and often leaving home with very little. Among the first moments of stability they receive is a carefully prepared backpack. Lovingly put together by the volunteers at Kids in Need.

Inside are essentials chosen with care, including a brand new pair of pyjamas picked to feel warm, soft, and age appropriate. Small things, but deeply meaningful. They say you are safe now. You matter. You are not alone.

That is why we continue to rally our community each year. To ensure more children across our region receive that moment of comfort when they need it most.

If you are able, we would be incredibly grateful for donations of brand new pyjamas in any size, delivered to our office by 22 May.
