Researchers have developed an H-shaped bionic piezoelectric robot (H-BPR) that mimics a cheetah’s running gait using piezoelectric beams, offering a unique blend of speed and agility.

The 38-gram robot achieves motion and turning by adjusting voltage, reaching a maximum speed of 66.79 mm/s, and carrying loads up to 55 g.

Unlike traditional piezoelectric robots, it boasts a simpler design and greater movement flexibility. Future iterations could integrate sensors or cameras, making the valuable robot in extreme conditions, search and rescue missions, or industrial applications.
