One of the great things about living in Tairāwhiti is the way our community comes together to support causes that genuinely make a difference.

This Friday I'll be attending the 19th Annual Eastland Helicopter Rescue Trust Charity Auction, helping raise funds for a service that countless local families, farmers, contractors, travellers and visitors rely on when they need it most.

The rescue helicopter plays a vital role across our region, often reaching people when every minute counts.

A huge thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, donors and organisers who make this event possible each year. I'm looking forward to a fantastic evening of good people, generous giving and supporting a truly worthwhile cause.

Spring is upon us, and while winter is traditionally a quieter time of year, the Gisborne property market continued to show encouraging signs.
With 38 residential sales recorded in July and buyer enquiry remaining steady across residential, lifestyle and rural property, opportunities continue to exist for both buyers and sellers. While market conditions are different to the peak years, well-presented and well-priced properties are still attracting strong interest and achieving successful results.

For a Gisborne winter market, that's a healthy result.

While activity has eased slightly from the 3-month average of 51 sales per month, we're still sitting comfortably ahead of the 12-month average of 33 sales per month.

The takeaway?

Buyers are still active. Good properties are still selling. And despite the cooler weather, the market hasn't gone into hibernation.
