The HIKO Hub hosts the Inaugural Impact Lab Poster Session.
Twelve teams of students, with a variety of disciplinary backgrounds, showcased the projects they have been working on for the University of Waikato’s multidisciplinary team project programme, The Impact lab. Due to the large number of participants, a poster session was held for the first time to celebrate their achievements at the HIKO Hub, rather than our usual oral presentation format.
The Impact Lab accepts challenging projects with a sustainability focus, following the UN-SDGs sustainability parameters, including broadly the four pillars of Community Wellbeing, i.e. Social Equity, Cultural Vitality, Environmental Sustainability and Economic Prosperity.
The teams worked on a range of projects, over the Trimester, for the University of Waikato and for Enviro-Hub Bay of Plenty. Their Posters, displaying their work, were put on display on Level Two of the HIKO Hub.
The students, their mentors and invited guests were able to view these posters and there were prizes given for various judged categories.
