Without proper ventilation, that moisture lingers and condensation follows...

Fan on, window open, door closed and let it clear properly.

Bathrooms and kitchens generate a lot of moisture every day. 💧

Without proper extraction fans, that moisture has nowhere to go. Instead, it settles on windows, walls, and ceilings, creating the conditions mould needs to grow.

Extraction fans are the first line of defence, but opening windows regularly can also help remove excess moisture and improve airflow throughout the home.

In NZ homes, managing moisture starts with good ventilation. Extraction fans and fresh air can make a big difference. ✅

1️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 🍳

Cooking can generate up to 3 litres of moisture inside a home each day. 💧

Without proper extraction, that moisture stays inside the home and can contribute to damp conditions, including in hidden areas you can't easily see.

Rangehood on. Vent outside. Small habit. Big difference. ✅

Plants growing too close to exterior walls can block the vents in a cladding system. 🌿

Those vents are there for a reason. They allow air to move through the cavity so moisture can escape and the wall can dry properly.

When plants, soil, or garden beds cover these openings, airflow is reduced and damp conditions can develop and affect the home.

Keeping vegetation clear of the cladding helps the system work the way it was designed to.
