Congratulations Jezz.

This year's Dream–Believe–Be Award recipient is Jezz Bayate, who, while employed through Tech 5, has been an integral part of the Coman Construction team since 2023.
Jezz is a deserving recipient of this award, as his journey reflects exactly what Dream–Believe–Be stands for.
Arriving in New Zealand from the Philippines in 2023, Jezz faced the challenges of establishing a new life for his young family while adapting to a new country, culture, and industry.
Through hard work, determination, and a willingness to keep learning, Jezz and his family have built a successful life in Nelson. Throughout his time working alongside the Coman team, he has earned the respect of his colleagues through his positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to improving his skills.
Although employed by Tech 5, Jezz is very much a part of the Coman Construction family.
Encouraged by a fellow member of the Coman Construction team to enter the 2026 New Zealand Certified Builders Apprentice of the Year Competition, Jezz backed himself and embraced the opportunity.
His dedication paid off when he won the Nelson Regional Apprentice Challenge, earning the opportunity to represent the region at the National Final in Auckland, where he competed alongside the country's top apprentices.
Jezz's story is one of courage, perseverance, and believing in what is possible.
He continues to pursue his carpentry career with passion and is committed to contributing positively to New Zealand's building industry.

🏗️ Up she goes!

The structural skeleton of this specialist Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage facility is now taking shape in the Tasman region.

Coman Construction is proud to be delivering this project for our client’s horticultural business, creating critical storage infrastructure to support future growth and harvest operations.

Scheduled for completion in early 2027, just in time for harvest.
