Raised vege gardens are all the rage at the moment. They’re great if you’re short on garden space or even if you’ve got plenty to spare, as they improve productivity in the vege patch with perfect drainage. The soil will be warmer too, which means you can plant earlier and have a longer growing season. Open Home Checklist

Things to watch out for when viewing a property for the first time…

- How much natural light is there in key spaces?
- What type of power/energy source does the home run off?
- How much storage is there? And is there potential to add more?
- What are the surrounding homes like?
- Does the home ‘look and feel’ structurally sound – obviously you’ll want a professional to check this down the track, but your initial ‘gut feel’ still matters here.
