📢🏗️ Time for another construction update from Te Koha! Construction has started on all lots with consents in place. For 18 of the homes being built for whānau, floor slabs have been poured, plus frames, trusses, and roofing are complete. 11 homes are ready for pre-cladding inspection, four homes have completed exterior cladding, and nine homes have internal framing and services installed before the wall linings go on. We now move onto getting floor slabs poured on six more lots, completing the cladding on 11 lots and getting 18 lots scheduled for pre-line inspection. Interior plastering and painting will start on nine lots, along with the next stage of carpentry work and the completion of their exterior painting. If you want to rent or purchase a home in Te Koha, your first step is to kōrero with Ka Uruora to help you understand which pathway might be right for you. Homes will be prioritised to uri of Raukawa iwi who have completed Te Uru Ahupūtea (the Ka Uruora financial education workshop for Raukawa). The next available courses are in April. ✨What a night! We had a wonderful response to last night's official launch at Papa o te Aroha Marae. Humbling to look back at our journey to this point, and exciting to see the positivity from whānau as they explored the various pathways on offer: affordable rentals, progressive home ownership, purchasing of homes outright, as well as the purchasing of a section to build on themselves.

What to expect tomorrow evening:

❤️Pōwhiri: there will be a formal welcome beginning at 5.15pm at Papa o Te Aroha marae for the launch of Te Koha. If for any reason you are unable to attend the pōwhiri due to other circumstances, don’t let that stop you from attending. Nau mai, haere mai.

ℹ️Presentation: Seating is provided for our presentation, during which we will share a little of how we got here, explain exactly what is on offer to you, and how you can access your new home or section. We'll also introduce you to your team, and provide an update on timeframes. We've kept the presentation informative, but it's to-the-point so that you can have plenty of time to talk to our team delivering this project afterwards. You'll hear from Raukawa, Hāpai Housing, and Tremains.

☕Kai and Information Booths: Following the presentation, the provided kai and light refreshments will be available ready for your enjoyment whilst visiting our teams at the information booths. See the large format plans and physical samples of finishes being put into Te Koha homes, meet the people who can support you with the many opportunities of affordable rentals, purchasing pathways, securing a section to build on, or understanding the project in more detail.
