🏠✨ A LIM isn’t the whole story. ✨🏠

When you’re buying a property, you’ll often hear people talk about getting a LIM.

But did you know the property file can contain additional information held by the council, such as plans and other documents relating to the property?

💡 My tip: Don’t assume one council document tells you everything you need to know.

Do your homework, ask questions and get the right professional advice before you commit.

A few hours of research can save a lot of headaches later.

🏡 Buying with a friend or family member?

Co-owning can make getting onto the property ladder much more achievable.

But before you work out how you’re going to buy together, work out how you’ll get out.

What happens if one of you wants to sell? Gets married? Loses their job? Wants to renovate? Or simply changes their mind?

💡 My tip: Have the awkward conversations before you buy — and get the agreement properly documented with legal advice.

Buying together can be a great idea.

Just make sure you’ve planned the exit as carefully as the entry. 😉
