This is what the inside of a Unit2Go home looks like before the cladding goes on - and it tells you everything about how we build.
Those timber battens create a vented cavity - the same way a traditional NZ home is built. Air circulates behind the cladding, moisture escapes, and the building breathes properly.
Many of our competitors use SIP panels instead. SIP panels are faster to build with, but they don't breathe - and in the NZ climate, that's a problem. Trapped moisture leads to condensation, mould, and long term damage.
We've never used SIP panels. We never will.
