📈 The OCR has risen to 2.75% — so what could that mean for Auckland homeowners, buyers and sellers?

A 0.25% increase doesn’t automatically mean every mortgage rate will rise by the same amount, but it can still influence borrowing capacity, buyer confidence and decisions around fixing or refinancing.

For buyers, higher servicing calculations may affect how much the bank is prepared to lend.

For sellers, changes in borrowing costs can influence how buyers behave — but serious, well-prepared buyers are still active when the right property comes along.
