Another common question we're asked is why pinks, purples and blues? This question is followed up quickly with comments of them not being very manly or trade like.

Well we like to think this is a very simple question to answer. Our eldest chose them. The night we were brain storming ideas for our brand, our Miss 2 woke up and wouldn't go back to bed, so helped us. At the time they were her favourite colours. So when we say its a small family business, we mean it.

Another common question is why the giraffe? The answer to this is both simple and complicated. Jonathan and I are both tall and often got called giraffes growing up. Coincidentally its Laura's favourite animal. If we ever lose Laura at the Zoo $50 says she's at the giraffes.

We thought it was fitting that we have a giraffe as our little mascot, cheering us on and supporting the work we are doing.

So we've been around a little while now and there's a few common questions that we are always being asked. So over the coming weeks we'll be answering some of your pressing questions.

The first question seems like the obvious one. Can you look at my fence, gates, doors, sections, and so much more? Short answer is absolutely we'd be happy to take a look. We are always happy to come take a look around at your jobs, discuss your goals and needs, offer possible solutions and provide you a quote.

So if you've got Doors that are sticking and not working like they should be, or a fence that just doesn't want to stand up straight, or a jungle that you once called your backyard then give us a call today for a site visit.

Today marks one whole year since we took the leap and launched our business—and what a ride it’s been!

From the first job to the hundredth screw tightened, we’ve loved every moment of helping our community fix, build, and improve their homes. We’ve met incredible people, tackled all sorts of projects, and learned a ton along the way.

To everyone who’s supported us—whether you booked a job, shared a post, recommended us to a friend, or simply cheered us on—thank you. Your trust means the world, and it’s the reason we get to do what we love every day.

Here’s to many more years of tools, timber, teamwork, and terrific customers

Our household’s been battling the tail end of winter bugs, and it’s been a rough few weeks. If you've been in the same boat, you're definitely not alone!

The good news? We’re back on our feet and back on the tools 💪
So if you’ve been cooped up indoors and noticed a few things around the house that aren’t quite right, feel free to reach out. We’d be happy to swing by and see how we can help get things sorted.

You might think fences are just a modern convenience—but did you know people have been building them for over 10,000 years?

That’s right—back around 8000 BCE, ancient farmers were already crafting fences to protect their crops and animals. From mud bricks in Mesopotamia to woven reeds along the Nile, fencing has always been about creating safety, structure, and a bit of peace of mind.

Fast-forward to today, and while we’re no longer weaving reeds, the purpose hasn’t changed. We take real pride in building strong, good-looking fences that give your home the same sense of security—just with better tools and timber!

Need to replace an old boundary, add some privacy, or tidy up the yard? We’re just a message away.
