Rent to Buy is easy! Here’s how it goes:

Downpayment: You start by offering a downpayment towards the purchase price of the property. This is an option to purchase fee.
You can propose any amount of downpayment for consideration

Rent: You pay rent for the right to live in the house
During the rental period, you do not have to pay rates or residents'fee (if any) which may include the house insurance.
Depending on the downpayment or option fee you offer, you may have to pay higher than market rent - that additional $$ goes towards the purchase price of the house

Save: As above; part of your rent may go toward your house purchase (though not all of it) So you save towards the purchase price of the house as you go.

Buy: After an agreed rental period, it can be 2, 5 or even 10 years you have the option to buy the home!

It's flexible, giving you time to plan and prepare while living in your home and not having to worry about having to move out each time the landlord wants the property back.
