We always used to joke about “trying out” the new hospital in Puerto Armuelles… but of course, you never just walk in there for no reason.

Well… that changed recently when I got stung by a wasp right under my eye. The next day, the swelling got so bad that I ended up going to the ER.

I was treated by Dr. Maximo, calm, professional, and straight to the point. I was put on an IV right away, and a few hours later I was already heading home… with a “visible” 👀 improvement in the swelling.

And the most unbelievable part?
This whole experience cost me a grand total of $0.50.

Incredible. Sometimes reality really does exceed expectations.
