Behind every warm home is a woman who kept showing up, even on the days she was tired too. 🤍

Moms carry so much quietly.
The worries, the sacrifices, the little things nobody notice yet somehow they still make love feel easy, safe, and constant.

Today is for the women who gave pieces of themselves so their families could feel whole.

To every mom, single mom, grandmother, mother figure, and woman who loved like one…
Happy Mother’s Day. 🌷

You deserve softness, rest, and all the love you so freely give to others.

To everyone who continues to support Casa Miranda, we want to finally speak up about a recent experience that has deeply affected not just our business but also the people behind it.

A recent guest publicly accused us of being scammers and dishonest. We understand that not every booking will always meet every guest’s expectations, and we are always open to questions, concerns, and honest feedback. But there is a difference between raising concerns and treating people with unnecessary cruelty.

Before arriving, the guest called us asking how far Casa Miranda is from Sky Ranch. We clearly and politely explained that we are approximately 10–12 minutes away. At that moment, they were coming from People’s Park, which is on the opposite end of Tagaytay, so we also explained that their location would naturally affect travel time. We were honest and respectful, and we even provided clear directions to help them.

Even during that first call, the guest was already irritated, but because we work in hospitality, we remained calm and professional.

When they arrived, our housekeeper, Nanay Fe, still welcomed them with kindness despite their visible frustration. She assisted them properly, offered to make them comfortable, and even turned on the AC in the master’s bedroom so they could settle in after their trip.

Their complaint later became that we were “lying” because they expected all bedrooms to have air conditioning. But this was never hidden. Our property description clearly states the room details and amenities, and the automated message sent after booking also includes this information. We did not deceive anyone. Everything was disclosed properly, and we always encourage guests to read the full details or ask questions before booking if they are unsure.

Despite this, we were aggressively accused of dishonesty and immediately pressured for a refund.
For transparency, this reservation was booked through Booking.com, a third-party platform. No direct payment or down payment was sent to Casa Miranda. That means refunds are processed according to the platform’s payment system, not instantly by us. We explained this calmly and even suggested they contact Booking.com directly for quicker payment-related concerns.
But instead of understanding, our staff, especially Nanay Fe, were treated with disrespect.

One of the guests even said, “Idodonate ko na lang sa inyo yan,” as if speaking down to someone who was simply doing her job with kindness. What people also need to understand is this:
“The customer is always right” does not mean rude behavior should always be tolerated.

Respect goes both ways. We deal with different kinds of guests every single week. We understand stress, disappointment, misunderstandings, and frustration. We genuinely empathize. We always try to listen, explain, and help.

But being a guest does not give anyone the right to insult, degrade, or emotionally harm the people working hard behind the scenes.

This is especially true when it comes to Nanay Fe.
After these guests left, we were devastated to see that Nanay Fe was left palpitating, emotionally shaken, and suffering from high blood pressure because of how rudely she was treated.
No booking, no payment, and no misunderstanding is ever worth damaging someone’s health.

We are in the hospitality business, yes.
But we are also human beings.
We are not robots.
We are not punching bags.
And we will never tolerate abuse toward our staff.
A few days later, one of the guests actually messaged our page apologizing for how they behaved toward Nanay Fe. Unfortunately, due to the volume of inquiries we manage daily, that message was buried and not immediately seen. Later on, the same conversation shifted back into anger, again repeating that they would “just donate” the payment.

At Casa Miranda, we will always own our mistakes if we make them.
We will always communicate honestly.
We will always show empathy.
But we will also stand up for our people.

To future guests:
Please read listing descriptions carefully.
Please ask questions.
Please communicate concerns respectfully.

We are always willing to help, explain, and accommodate.
But kindness and respect should never be optional.
To everyone who has supported Casa Miranda and shown love to Nanay Fe, thank you.

And to Nanay Fe, thank you for your patience, your warmth, and your heart. You deserve respect, protection, and appreciation always.

Casa Miranda will continue to stand for honesty, empathy, transparency, and genuine hospitality.

But let it also be known:
We welcome guests, but we do not tolerate disrespect. ❤️
