While there is no winter in the Philippines, residents of Atok, Benguet, woke up to a blanket of frost this morning.
According to a post by farm owner PJ Haight, they recorded a negative ground temperature in the area, which caused frost to cover crops and plants. Meanwhile, the air temperature hovered at around 5°C.
This area of Benguet’s highlands typically experiences lower temperatures than Baguio, which was at 10.6 °C on January 23, 2025.
