My client story yesterday!!

He rented for 10 years. Ten. Whole. Years. He said that when he first moved out on his own, renting made sense. He wasn’t ready to commit to anything long-term, and he liked the flexibility. But year after year, the rent kept going up. At first, it was just a few hundred extra per month. Nothing too painful. But over time, those small increases added up.

Until, he did the math one day and realized he had spent over ₱2.5 million on rent alone. Money that he would never see again. Money that didn’t build anything for him, no equity, no property to call his own, just years of paying off someone else’s investment.
He also dealt with things he couldn’t control: landlords selling the property, forcing him to move; restrictions on making changes to his spaces, and the worst part was watching his rent payments go toward someone else’s mortgage while he had nothing to show for it.

That’s when he made the decision, he called one of the property consultants with City Clou who encouraged him to stop renting and buy his own place.
