Today, we celebrate not only his graduation but also his outstanding achievement as recipient of the Agila Leadership Award from the MMSU Economics Society, where he served as Vice President for International Linkages for Academic Year 2025-2026. This prestigious recognition speaks volumes about the quality of leadership, vision, and dedication he has consistently demonstrated.

Jeff is truly an asset to our office, and we have no doubt that he will continue to achieve great things wherever his journey takes him. The future is bright for a young leader whose character, intellect, and passion for service set him apart.

🇵🇭✨ PESO LAOAG JOINS KALAYAAN JOB FAIR 2026 AT SM CITY LAOAG! ✨🇵🇭

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Laoag City proudly joined the Kalayaan Job Fair 2026 held today at SM City Laoag, bringing employment opportunities closer to Ilocano jobseekers in celebration of the country’s Independence Day.

Representing PESO Laoag were Mr. Kevin Cesar V. Simon, Labor and Employment Assistant, and Teacher Jayson Antalan, one of the office’s hardworking interns, who assisted in the conduct of the activity and engaged with jobseekers and partner agencies throughout the event.

The highly successful job fair was led by Hon. Angelo Marcos Barba, Representative of the Second District of Ilocos Norte in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office I and the Department of Labor and Employment Ilocos Norte Field Office, gathering government agencies, employers, and hundreds of aspiring workers under one roof.

The event served as a powerful reminder that through collaboration and shared commitment, more employment opportunities can be created for the people of Ilocos Norte. PESO Laoag remains steadfast in supporting programs that empower jobseekers, strengthen the local workforce, and open doors to brighter futures.

🎓💙 SPES Summer 2026 Batch 1 Beneficiaries Receive Their Hard-Earned Stipends 💙🎓

Smiles, excitement, and a sense of accomplishment filled the Laoag City Hall Multipurpose Hall as the first batch of beneficiaries under the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) Summer Season 2026 received their stipends.

The distribution activity was led by City Mayor Hon. James Bryan Q. Alcid, together with members of the 13th Sangguniang Panlungsod of Laoag City: Hon. Rbee Ablan, Hon. Kiko Ang, Hon. John Michael V. Fariñas, Hon. Justine Clarence Chua, and Hon. Michael Christophe Agustin. Their presence highlighted the City Government’s continuing commitment to supporting the youth through programs that create opportunities for learning, growth, and employment.

For many of these students, the stipend represents more than financial assistance. It is a reward for their dedication, discipline, and hard work during their summer employment. Through SPES, they were given the chance to gain valuable workplace experience, develop professional skills, and better understand the responsibilities that come with being part of the workforce.

The City Government of Laoag and PESO Laoag proudly celebrate the achievements of these young individuals who chose to spend their summer productively while preparing themselves for brighter futures.
