PhilHealthโ€™s expanded maternity benefits significantly increase financial coverage for childbirth and broaden prenatal and postnatal support. Normal delivery coverage is P29,000 (from P9,750) and Cesarean sections range from P58,000 to P62,000 (from P37,000). The program fully covers eight prenatal checkups (up from four), laboratory tests, and three postnatal follow-up visits.
