MASBATE CITY โ In a bold assertion of law enforcement resolve, the Masbate Police Provincial Office (PPO) launched synchronized operations under โManhunt Charlieโ on November 1, 2025โcoinciding with the solemn observance of Undas.
The crackdown led to the capture of six fugitives, including the Rank No. 2 Regional Most Wanted of PRO3 and Masbateโs top provincial target, reaffirming the PNPโs unwavering commitment to justice, even amid national holidays.
The arrests were carried out across multiple municipalities in Masbate and in coordination with police units in Camarines Sur. Among those apprehended were:
- Alias โJuanitoโ, 39, male, resident of Brgy. Magsalangi, Milagros, Masbate โ listed as Rank No. 2 Regional Most Wanted (PRO3), wanted for Murder (non-bailable) and Attempted Murder (โฑ120,000 bail). Arrested by Masbate 1st PMFC, CIDG Masbate, SAF, and Limay MPS, Bataan PPO under PMAJ Renante N. Arambuyong.
- Alias โLinoโ, 47, male, resident of Brgy. Paraiso, Milagros, Masbate โ Provincial Most Wanted Person, facing six counts of R**e and Sexual Assault in relation to RA 7610, four of which are non-bailable. Arrested by Milagros MPS, 1st PMFC, and PIU Masbate PPO under PMAJ Joenel C. Moratalla.
- Alias โJulioโ, 42, male, resident of Brgy. Mandali, Mobo, Masbate โ Rank No. 2 Municipal Most Wanted Person, charged with Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610 (โฑ180,000 bail). Arrested by Mobo MPS under PCPT Luzanta A. Contreras, in coordination with 1st PMFC and PIU Masbate PPO.
- Alias โAntonโ, 32, male, resident of Brgy. Panique, Aroroy, Masbate โ charged with Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610 (โฑ180,000 bail). Arrested by Aroroy MPS under PLTCOL Nicolas L. Malipot Jr.
- Alias โMathewโ, 42, male, resident of Brgy. Daraga, Placer, Masbate โ wanted for Frustrated Homicide (โฑ72,000 bail). Arrested by Placer MPS in coordination with PIU Masbate PPO under PMAJ Michael S. Albaรฑa.
- Alias โCarlitoโ, 49, male, resident of Zone 1A, Pasacao, Camarines Sur โ charged with Violation of RA 7610 (โฑ80,000 bail). Arrested by San Pascual MPS in coordination with Pasacao MPS, Camarines Sur PPO.
Police Colonel Jefferson B. Araojo, Masbate PPO Director, praised the operating units for their dedication, stating that the arrests reflect the police forceโs unwavering commitment to justiceโeven during Undas. He affirmed, โThe law does not restโand neither do we.โ
Araojo said the Masbate PPO remains steadfast in its campaign against criminality, aligned with national efforts for a safer and more accountable society.
