to Jhocson Legacy 🫡

Don Mariano Fortunato Jhocson (DMFJ) founded Colegio Filipino, now National University, with the aspiration to make education accessible to the less fortunate.

To this day, his family remains at the heart of the institution, continuing its commitment to providing quality and affordable education to Filipinos nationwide, with the support of the SM Group.

NU Vice Chairman of the Board Teodoro “Teddy” J. Ocampo, and his brother Senior Vice President for Administrative Services and a member of the UAAP Board Jose Nilo J. Ocampo are DMFJ’s grandsons.

Meanwhile, Sir Teddy’s son and DMFJ’s great-grandson, NU Las Piñas Executive Director Jose Ricardo S.A. Ocampo, is also in the lineage, continuing their legacy and supervising NU’s operations.

Pursuant to the VPAA Memo No. 37, S. 2026:
CLASS MODALITIES (August 4–8, 2026)
Please be guided by the following class arrangements for the first week of classes:

• First-year students: Face-to-face classes.

• Second-year and higher undergraduate students, including graduate students: Online classes following the official class schedule.

• Irregular students enrolled in freshman sections: Face-to-face classes. Freshman sections are color-coded blue in AdU Live. If your section is blue, report for face-to-face classes.

Students attending online classes should access their classes through the Microsoft Teams Virtual Classroom link posted in Blackboard by their instructor.

Please be guided accordingly.

In just three days, the CEU community will come together for the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a gathering that encourages Escolarians to learn, reflect, and take part in meaningful conversations about one of the world’s most pressing concerns—climate change.
