We designed this bunk room to turn sleepovers into core memories without losing a drop of style 🏡. And yes, we would love to hear your thoughts.
The concept is modern coastal farmhouse, where crisp white shiplap, X-detail bunk railings, and navy stripes feel fresh, breezy, and kid-proof 🌊. Four built-in bunks create symmetry, with under-bed drawers that hide clutter and keep the oak floors open for play 🧺. Every detail whispers beach house: striped Roman shades, pendant lighting, “Beach at the beach” pillows, and a surfboard that doubles as art 🏄. A central rug softens footsteps, while the ceiling fan keeps summer nights comfortable 🌤️.
Elements That Matter
Built-ins maximize every inch, giving eight sleepers their own zone while the window stays the focal point 🪟. The palette stays calm with whites, blues, and warm wood so the room grows with the kids 🎨.
Cost & Construction Time
Using paint-grade plywood and DIY-friendly millwork, a project like this can run $1,000–$2,000 for materials if you’re handy and skip custom carpentry 💰.
