The Pakistan Kissan Ittehad (PKI) has announced plans for a nationwide “Million March” toward Rawalpindi from September 25, demanding the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Farmer representatives say rising input costs, wheat procurement issues, lower crop yields and financial losses have placed severe pressure on growers. They also raised concerns over fertilizer and electricity prices, along with alleged shortcomings in agricultural policies and subsidies.
