ATTENTION — DHA Phase-VIII Plot Owners!

Pakistan Defence Officers Housing Authority (DHA Karachi) has issued an official notice regarding Electric Development Charges for Phase-VIII plot owners. Here's everything you need to know

What's Happening?

Effective 1st July 2026, Electric Dev Charges are now payable in 12 equal quarterly installments** spread over 3 years.

Rate Breakdown (Per Sq Yard):

Residential:
▪️ Sectors A, B, C, D & E → **Rs. 2,452/sq yd**
▪️ Sector E-8 → **Rs. 2,952/sq yd**

Commercial:
▪️ Sectors A, B, C, D & E → **Rs. 16,517/sq yd**
▪️ Sector E-8 → **Rs. 17,017/sq yd**

Key Deadlines:

First installment due: **30th September 2026**
Remaining installments: End of each subsequent quarter

Important Warnings:

Default = surcharge at KIBOR + 1% from the due date
Full payment is **mandatory** before Completion / NOC / Transfer / B&C Lease

Plots in default for 6+ years may face cancellation proceedings
