The family has officially reached Muzdalifah for the night of Day 2 of Hajj! Imagine millions of people from all over the world sleeping flat on the rocky ground together, with absolutely no tents or hotels—just the starry desert sky! Did you know that pilgrims do not pray Maghrib at Arafat? Instead, it is a strict command and Sunnah to delay it and combine Maghrib and Isha together only after reaching Muzdalifah! While collecting their 49 or 70 tiny pebbles for the next day, Dani asks if a real devil is waiting for them. Baba beautifully explains the history of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and clarifies that it is not a real devil, but symbolic stone pillars (Jamarat) to revive an incredible Sunnah! As the boys look around at the endless sea of people, they realize something amazing. Rich, poor, kings, and regular citizens—everyone wears the same cloth and sleeps on the exact same ground. The family has officially reached the vast plain of Arafat for Day 2 of Hajj! This is the 9th of Dhul Hijjah—The Day of Arafah—and our Prophet ﷺ beautifully reminded us that “Hajj is Arafah.” But today, Baba shares two mind-blowing secrets with Dani and Rahim that left them completely speechless: The Day of Judgment Connection: Did you know that on the Day of Judgment, all of humanity from the beginning of time will be gathered right here on this very plain of Arafat for their final accountability? When Dani asks how everyone will fit, Baba reminds them of Allah’s infinite, ultimate power! Baba reveals that if one person spends their day handing out pure gold coins to charity, and another person fills their tongue with the Takbeerat of Tashreeq (Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar...), the reward for the one doing Dhikr is far greater in the eyes of Allah! Listen to the boys beautifully recite the ultimate Dua of Arafah taught by the Prophet ﷺ: “La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu...”. Don’t forget! For those not performing Hajj, fasting on this day expiates the sins of the previous year and the year to come! The sun has officially set, but the family is leaving Arafat without praying Maghrib! The family has officially started Day 1 of Hajj! Today is the 8th of Dhul Hijjah, known as Yawm ut-Tarwiyah (The Day of Quenching Thirst), and pilgrims all over the world are heading into the breathtaking white tents of Mina! What exactly do pilgrims do during their stay in Mina? 🕋
It is a time of spiritual pause and preparation. Inside the tents, pilgrims focus entirely on:
1️⃣ Praying the 5 daily prayers on time .
2️⃣ Spending hours in deep Dhikr, reading the Holy Quran, and making sincere Duas.
3️⃣ Resting and gathering physical strength for the massive day ahead tomorrow!
