World Environment Day 2026

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Housing Reconstruction Unit (HRU) – IFRAP Balochistan, Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan, reaffirms its strong commitment to environmental protection, climate resilience, and sustainable development.

Under the Government of Pakistan’s flagship Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP), the Housing Reconstruction Unit is actively supporting the reconstruction of safer, climate-resilient, and environmentally sustainable housing for flood-affected communities across Balochistan. This initiative not only focuses on physical rehabilitation but also promotes a broader vision of resilience, responsible resource utilization, and long-term environmental sustainability.

The devastating floods have underscored the urgent need to integrate climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction into development planning. In this regard, IFRAP represents a significant step toward strengthening communities, reducing vulnerability, and ensuring that reconstruction contributes positively to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.

The Housing Reconstruction Unit recognizes that environmental protection is a shared responsibility. Through coordinated efforts and strong institutional support, we aim to promote awareness and encourage sustainable actions for a greener future.

On this important day, we call upon all stakeholders to unite in protecting natural resources, addressing climate change challenges, and building a safer, greener, and more prosperous Pakistan for present and future generations.

ہاؤسنگ ریکنسٹرکشن یونٹ ، انٹیگریٹڈ فلڈ ریزیلینس اینڈ اڈاپٹیشن پراجیکٹ بلوچستان کی جانب سے عید الاضحیٰ کے پُرمسرت موقع پر تمام شراکت داروں، مستحق خاندانوں، کمیونٹیز، فیلڈ ٹیموں اور عوام الناس کو دلی مبارکباد پیش کی جاتی ہے۔

عید الاضحیٰ ہمیں قربانی، ایثار، اتحاد، بھائی چارے اور انسانیت کی خدمت کا درس دیتی ہے۔ یہ بابرکت موقع اس عزم کی تجدید کا پیغام دیتا ہے کہ ہم مل کر ایک مضبوط، محفوظ اور خوشحال بلوچستان کی تعمیر کے لیے اپنی ذمہ داریاں نبھاتے رہیں گے۔

حکومتِ پاکستان کی عوام دوست پالیسیوں اور خصوصی کاوشوں کے تحت ہاؤسنگ ریکنسٹرکشن یونٹ بلوچستان کے ذریعے2022 کے سیلاب سے متاثرہ خاندانوں کی بحالی، محفوظ اور پائیدار گھروں کی تعمیر، اور متاثرہ کمیونٹیز میں امید و اعتماد کی بحالی کے لیے عملی اقدامات جاری ہیں۔ حکومتِ پاکستان کی یہ کاوش نہ صرف متاثرہ خاندانوں کے لیے ایک نئی امید ہے بلکہ بلوچستان میں ترقی، بحالی اور موسمیاتی خطرات سے نمٹنے کے عزم کی بھی عکاس ہے۔

دعا ہے کہ یہ عید ہم سب کے لیے امن، خوشحالی، ترقی، استحکام اور نئی امیدوں کا پیغام لے کر آئے۔

جعفر آباد: ہاؤسنگ ریکنسٹرکشن یونٹ بلوچستان کے تحت سیلاب متاثرین کے لیے محفوظ و پائیدار مکانات کی تعمیر جاری

ہاؤسنگ ریکنسٹرکشن یونٹ بلوچستان، انٹیگریٹڈ فلڈ ریزیلینس اینڈ اڈاپٹیشن پراجیکٹ کے تحت ضلع جعفر آباد میں سیلاب متاثرین کی بحالی اور تعمیرِ نو کا عمل تیزی سے جاری ہے، جہاں متاثرہ خاندانوں کو محفوظ، مضبوط اور پائیدار مکانات فراہم کیے جا رہے ہیں۔

یہ منصوبہ حکومتِ پاکستان کے اس عزم کی عکاسی کرتا ہے جس کے تحت 2022 کے تباہ کن سیلاب سے متاثرہ خاندانوں کو دوبارہ باعزت اور محفوظ زندگی فراہم کرنے کے لیے عملی اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں۔ منصوبے کے تحت تعمیر کیے جانے والے مکانات جدید تعمیراتی اصولوں اور موسمیاتی مزاحمت کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے تیار کیے جا رہے ہیں تاکہ مستقبل میں قدرتی آفات کے اثرات کو کم کیا جا سکے۔

ضلع جعفر آباد میں مکمل ہونے والا یہ مکانات بھی ہزاروں دیگر مکانات کی طرح متاثرہ خاندانوں کے لیے نئی امید، تحفظ اور اعتماد کی علامت بن چکا ہے۔ سیلاب سے متاثرہ خاندان، جنہوں نے قدرتی آفت کے دوران اپنے گھر اور قیمتی اثاثے کھو دیے تھے اب دوبارہ اپنے قدموں پر کھڑے ہونے کی جانب گامزن ہیں۔

ہاؤسنگ ریکنسٹرکشن یونٹ بلوچستان نہ صرف متاثرین کو رہائش فراہم کر رہا ہے بلکہ کمیونٹی کی بحالی، موسمیاتی مزاحمت اور پائیدار ترقی کے فروغ کے لیے بھی مؤثر اقدامات جاری رکھے ہوئے ہے۔ منصوبے کے تحت مختلف اضلاع میں تعمیراتی سرگرمیوں میں شفافیت، معیار اور بروقت تکمیل کو یقینی بنایا جا رہا ہے تاکہ مستحق خاندانوں کو جلد از جلد سہولیات فراہم کی جا سکیں۔

عوامی و سماجی حلقوں نے حکومتِ پاکستان اور ہاؤسنگ ریکنسٹرکشن یونٹ بلوچستان کی کاوشوں کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ متاثرین کو گھر کی فراہمی صرف تعمیرِ نو نہیں بلکہ انسانی ہمدردی، ریاستی ذمہ داری اور عوامی خدمت کی بہترین مثال ہے۔

انٹیگریٹڈ فلڈ ریزیلینس اینڈ اڈاپٹیشن پراجیکٹ کے تحت بحالی و تعمیرِ نو کا عمل آئندہ بھی جاری رہے گا تاکہ زیادہ سے زیادہ متاثرہ خاندانوں کو محفوظ رہائش، بہتر سہولیات اور روشن مستقبل فراہم کیا جا سکے۔

نصیر آباد اور جعفر آباد میں ہاؤسنگ ریکنسٹرکشن منصوبے پر پیشرفت کا جائزہ

نصیر آباد / جعفر آباد: حکومتِ پاکستان کے سیلاب متاثرین کی بحالی کے عظیم الشان منصوبے، ہاؤسنگ ریکنسٹرکشن یونٹ (HRU) کے تحت جاری انٹیگریٹڈ فلڈ ریزیلینس اینڈ اڈاپٹیشن پراجیکٹ (IFRAP) کے سلسلے میں چیف آپریٹنگ آفیسر جناب نجیب ببری نے دیگر اعلیٰ حکام، امپلیمنٹنگ پارٹنرز اور اسلامک ریلیف کی ریجنل ٹیموں کے ہمراہ ضلع نصیر آباد اور جعفر آباد کا تفصیلی دورہ کیا۔

یہ منصوبہ حکومتِ پاکستان کا ایک اہم اور جامع اقدام ہے جس کا مقصد 2022 کے تباہ کن سیلاب سے متاثرہ خاندانوں کو محفوظ، پائیدار اور باعزت رہائش فراہم کرنا ہے۔ اس منصوبے کے تحت جدید اور ریزیلینٹ ہاؤسنگ ماڈلز کو فروغ دیا جا رہا ہے تاکہ مستقبل میں ممکنہ قدرتی آفات کے اثرات کو کم کیا جا سکے۔

دورے کے دوران ٹیم نے زیرِ تعمیر گھروں کی پیشرفت، معیارِ تعمیر اور مجموعی سرگرمیوں کا جائزہ لیا جبکہ مستفید ہونے والے افراد سے ملاقاتیں بھی کی گئیں۔ اس موقع پر منصوبے کے سماجی، ماحولیاتی اور صنفی تحفظات کے اقدامات کا بھی مشاہدہ کیا گیا۔

حکام نے منصوبے کی مجموعی پیشرفت پر اطمینان کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا کہ حکومتِ پاکستان کے وژن کے مطابق متاثرین کی جلد اور پائیدار بحالی کو یقینی بنایا جا رہا ہے۔

In the wake of the devastating 2022 floods, when thousands of families were left without shelter or security, this initiative emerged as a lifeline turning despair into determination.

This is more than bricks and mortar. Every home built under this initiative is a shield against future disasters, a symbol of dignity, and a foundation for a better tomorrow. Designed with resilience at its core raised plinths, stronger structures, and climate-smart techniques these homes are built not just to stand, but to withstand.
What makes Housing Reconstruction Unit – IFRAP Balochistan truly impactful is its people-centered approach. It empowers local communities, engages skilled and unskilled labor and prioritizes the most vulnerable ensuring that recovery is inclusive, equitable, and sustainable.
