There’s something only the ocean can teach you: how to be humbled.

The past few months haven’t been the easiest, so I booked a healing long weekend to Algarve. My board, and the water.

The very first thing that happened? I didn’t even make it to the lineup — broke my board on a big, sticky rock before I’d even surf one wave.

💙Sometimes the ocean tells you immediately a message.

But the days that followed were everything I needed. Warm water, calm currents, and enough quiet to actually listen to myself again.

I’m a surfer. I’m goofy. Maybe that’s exactly why the road isn’t always straight for me.

Maybe it was never supposed to be.
