My husband and I own a beautiful private seaside ranch in the world surfing reserve of Portugal. Our backgrounds are in hospitality, design & marketing.

We have a lot of animals here on the ranch: horses, ponies, dogs, cats, chickens, peacocks & ducks🐓

We love natural w**e and creating cool w**e experiences for our guests such as w**e tastings and new w**e travel experience, The Unfiltered Table (coming soon!!). We also offer unique surfing experiences such as surf guides, lessons and even a jet ski excursion at Nazare to see the 100 foot wave.

We have two casas & two casitas we rent out for holiday short-term stays. And we host a few hand selected intimate weddings & retreats per year.

It’s a pretty special place here and we’d love for you to come and stay with us. We just decided to extend our year and will now will be open until December 20th, 2026 (and stays are currently 20% off with code: AUTUMN - but you have to book before Oct 19th!)

Just 40 minutes from Lisbon, our private, design-led ranch near Ericeira was created for retreat hosts who want their experience to feel truly elevated.

my husband and I own The Blanco Bungalow Ranch in the World Surfing Reserve of Portugal🌵

We’re both entrepreneurs, and moved from California four years ago, where we both owned our own business.

I had my own jewelry line, repped clothing brands, was a stylist, influencer, blogger, interior designer & renovator, and wore so many hats.

Strader was a restaurateur, owning and creating some of the best restaurants in Los Angeles, like
Hatchet Hall, and Little Coyote.

but when we decided to sell everything and move to Portugal, we thought: let’s build something together this time.

so we bought our dream property by the sea, a two acres Oceanside Quinta. Where I could live out my childhood dream of owning my own horses, while designing our houses. And Strader could surf his brains out everyday and get barreled.

and in the summer of 2024, we officially opened The Blanco Bungalow (number two) and opened our doors for guests.

We’ve absolutely loved curating exclusive experiences for our guests such as natural w**e tastings, horseback riding and surf experiences - all things we both love and care so much about.

But being creative entrepreneurs, our wheels never stop turning… and we have some really exciting things up our sleeves.

So stay tuned… it all begins this December.

We recently had the privilege of hosting Henry, an incredibly inspiring 16 year old kid at Blanco Bungalow.

While Henry’s story is not ours to tell, what I can say is that the obstacles this kid has overcome are nothing short of incredible.

One of the highlights was watching his surfing journey unfold. Every day, he took lessons with the incredible team at Ericeira Surf School, whose patience, encouragement, and belief in Henry never wavered.

Watching Henry light up in the water, with the biggest smile on his face, was something none of us will forget. Every wave he caught felt like a celebration.

Watching Henry in the water, it was impossible not to think about how often people are underestimated and told what they can’t do. Yet there was Henry, out in the ocean, doing something that most people would be scared to try.

We were left feeling inspired not just by Henry, but by the love, dedication, and bond from his family, especially his mom:)

Enotourism is traveling to experience w**e culture.
But not just drinking w**e, learning about it, meeting the people who make it, understanding the land it comes from.

At Blanco Bungalow, our version of enotourism is centered around something we care deeply about: Natural, organic, and biodynamic Portuguese w**e.

Most people think enotourism means visiting a w**ery. But to us, it’s so much more than that. It’s meeting the Meeting w**emakers, tasting straight from the barrel, walking the vineyards, Learning their unique process and Discovering the stories behind the bottles.

Our natural w**e shop, features a curated collection of exclusively natural, organic, and biodynamic w**es from independent producers.

Throughout the summer, we host a series of w**e tastings called Unfiltered Afternoons. Relaxed tastings on the farm.
As guests, we connect you with some of our favourite independent w**eries off the beaten path, the ones you won’t find on a tour bus.

Want to go deeper? Visit us during harvest season in September & October and participate in the harvest. Work along side the w**emakers, enjoy family meals in the vineyard, and leave with dirty hands, a full heart and experiences to last a lifetime.

One of the things we’re most passionate about is helping guests understand what makes natural Portuguese w**e so special. The limestone-rich soils of our region. The sandy vineyards of nearby Colares that survived phylloxera, and the producers keeping age old traditions alive. The unique Jurassic landscapes that shape every bottle.
And of course the grapes: Arinto, Fernão Pires, Castelão, Baga, Touriga Nacional, Encruzado.

Whether we’re hosting a tasting, recommending a bottle, or arranging a unique w**ery visit…. Our goal is to give guests access to a side of Portugal most visitors never get to experience, while also supporting these incredible farmers.

Because at the end of the day… We care about preserving native grapes, local traditions, and healthy land for future generations.

And honestly…We just love good w**e.

Summer is in full bloom here in Portugal🌵🌺

For us that means we are in full on entertaining mode. We just finished a month long visit from family where we got to take them w**e tasting, horseback riding, to incredible restaurants, playing tour guide in Lisbon, taking in sunsets at the beach and just enjoying the farm.

There’s nothing like summertime in Portugal🌞

Today we took some of our guests from Blanco Bungalow on the most incredible horseback ride along the beach. 🌊

It’s one of our favorite experiences we offer here at the farm because it’s truly for everyone, even complete beginners.

The ride takes you along the famous Supertubos surf beach, and Ricardo makes the whole experience feel so comfortable, relaxed, and fun. One of those memories from Portugal you’ll never forget.
