The Al-Hijr Archaeological Site dates back to before the first millennium BCE, revealing traces of ancient human life. The site features over 110 Nabataean tombs carved into the heart of the rock formations, built to honor the most prominent figures of Nabataean civilization.
Inscriptions and carvings on some tombs tell the stories of remarkable historical figures, from healers and local leaders to distinguished warriors, taking you on a journey through time and the lives of the ancestors.
