🦟 Important Update for Limau & Kew Estate Residents 🦟

Project Wolbachia will be commencing in Bedok from 17 December 2025. Male Wolbachia-Aedes mosquitoes will be released every Wednesday and Saturday to help suppress the urban Aedes mosquito population and reduce
dengue transmission.

What you need to know:

• Release days: Every Wednesday and Saturday starting 17 December (subject to changes due to public holidays)

• You may notice more male mosquitoes around, but rest assured they do not bite or transmit disease

• You can close doors and windows during releases if preferred

• Continue with your usual mosquito control procedures and kill mosquitoes as you normally would

These specially bred male mosquitoes carry Wolbachia bacteria that prevent their offspring from surviving to adulthood. Let's work together to keep our neighbourhood dengue-free!

A truly blessed and busy day for Bedok! ☀️

We were blessed with wonderful weather and the incredible support of our residents and friends, allowing us to celebrate not one, but TWO major community milestones:

✅ The Groundbreaking Ceremony for Kew Estate Upgrading Programme (EUP)
✅ The Grand Opening of the new, upgraded Kew Drive Playground

It was a joy to see our wonderful residents, volunteers, and the Limau Estate Residents Network in action. Your passion and dedication are the heart of our community.

This is excellent teamwork in action—coming together to organise events that build a more cohesive, strong, and inclusive community for everyone in Bedok Division and East Coast GRC.

💕 Thank you to every single person who made this day so special. Here's to many more happy memories in our vibrant neighbourhood!

❤️ A very special thanks to Guest of Honor - Minister Edwin Tong for gracing both occasions, and to Advisor MOS Dinesh for hosting with great kindness and leadership as we strive to make the East Side the Best Side.

This Estate Upgrading Programme (EUP) has been a meaningful journey where agencies, volunteers, and residents came together with heart and purpose—building a “We-First” community in Bedok, by residents and for residents.
