🇸🇬 BEDOK NATIONAL DAY OBSERVANCE CEREMONY 2026 🇸🇬

What a morning of pride, unity and community spirit! 🧡🤍
It all began before sunrise, with 61 cyclists setting off at 4.30am for their ride, returning triumphant at 8.30am. Meanwhile, over 1,200 brisk walkers and residents took to the streets — one group walking from Bedok CC to Siglap, another completing a full Siglap East loop — all converging together at Siglap Community Club, our main holding area, by 9am.
The energy only grew from there! A mini parade kicked things off, led by 30 Boy Scouts from secondary schools across the East, followed by our proud cyclists fresh off their ride, and volunteers beautifully dressed as Samsui women, kopitiam uncles, and children in traditional costumes — a heartwarming tribute to our multicultural heritage.
We were honoured to welcome our Guest-of-Honour Mr Dinesh and Guest Minister Edwin Tong, who walked in on the red carpet, escorted by 10 sharp-looking NCC land cadets bearing the Singapore flag alongside our very own “Sir Stamford Raffles.”
A solemn moment followed as an NCC officer gave the command for Hormat Senjata, leading all residents and volunteers in the national anthem and pledge — a proud moment as we celebrated Singapore’s 61st birthday together. 🎉
This year’s NDOC was part of a wider slate of celebrations. We were delighted to invite residents born in August, spanning ages 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, right down to our youngest little ones aged 7 and 2, to cut the birthday cake together! The gorgeous “onde-onde pandan” cake was generously sponsored by Tiap Tiap at East Coast.
There was plenty to enjoy all around:
🎁 61 fabulous lucky draw prizes from our sponsors, including $1,000 worth of vouchers from Sheng Siong Supermarket
🍛 Delicious food from Lee Wee Bros Nasi Lemak, plus prata, otah, pancakes, coffee, corn, and waffles
🥛 And the star of the day — the Milo Van, with residents happily queuing for a cold, sweet cup on a warm morning!
Adding to the festive mood, our singer Tristan and partners serenaded guests and residents with National Day favourites, bringing everyone together in song. 🎶
And the achievements didn’t stop there — our residents also attempted the Singapore Book of Records for the most painted keychains completed in 2 hours! 🎨🔑
A heartfelt thank you to our residents for their overwhelming support, our generous sponsors, our dedicated organising committee, and our 120 volunteers who worked tirelessly to keep the event safe, smooth and enjoyable for all.
