CAN SIMPLE WAFFLE REALLY BE WORTH THE QUEUE??

This time, Serene visited Salted Caramel and tried one of their crowd favourites:

🍦 Belgian Waffles with a Single Scoop of Ice Cream

Freshly made waffles with a crisp golden exterior, fluffy centre, finished with a generous scoop of ice cream and warm salted caramel sauce. Simple, comforting and incredibly satisfying.

📍 STATE OF AFFAIRS CAFÉ | THOMSON CAFE SERIES

This time, Serene checked out State of Affairs Café at Upper Thomson and these were our favourites:

🥑 Avocado Smoothie Bowl – Fresh, creamy and packed with fruits, granola and almonds. A refreshing start to the day.

☕ Signature Sunrise Coffee Blend – A beautifully layered coffee with citrus notes that gradually blend into a smooth espresso finish. Refreshing, unique and surprisingly addictive.

If you're looking for a café that's perfect for a slow morning, brunch date or simply a good cup of coffee, this one's worth adding to your list!

This time, we stopped by Oaks Coffee Co for a cosy café break around Thomson. 🌿

✨ What we tried:

🥪 Pulled Pork Cheese Toastie — hearty pulled pork packed between toasted bread with melted cheese. Comfort food done right.

🥥☕ Cafe Cot Dua — Vietnamese coffee with coconut cream & espresso. Creamy, aromatic and refreshingly different — definitely the highlight for coffee lovers looking for something beyond the usual latte.

This time we're at 2+ Collective Café in Upper Thomson — a cosy neighbourhood café that's perfect for a slow morning or afternoon catch-up.

✨ What we tried:
🥐 Signature French Butter Croissant — crisp, flaky layers with a rich buttery aroma that's worth every bite.
☕ Caffè Latte — smooth, balanced and comforting, the perfect pairing with their pastries.
🍰 Burnt Cheesecake — creamy, velvety and lightly caramelised with just the right amount of sweetness.

This time we stopped by Hello Arigato at Upper Thomson to see what everyone's been talking about.

🥪 Thick Sandos
🍓🍵 Strawberry Matcha Latte

The Thick Sandos were generously filled with juicy meat between soft, fluffy bread, while the Strawberry Matcha Latte surprised us with a refreshing balance of earthy matcha and sweet strawberry.

Definitely one of those cafés we'd happily come back to!
