TRENDS OF THE WEEK

As Singapore decentralizes and public transportation improves, the average prices of new condos in city fringes (RCR) and outside the city (OCR) have closed the gap on the average prices in the city (CCR).

Over the last 10 years, from Q3'12 to Q2'22, average prices of new launches in OCR (green line) have gone up 79%, followed by prices in RCR, (orange line, 56%) and CCR (blue line, 31%).

The first major launch of a suburban project is almost fully sold on first day of sales, with just seven units out of 372 still available. Average price is said to have crossed $2,100 psf, a new price benchmark for the Outside Central Region
